These scary little treats will trick you into believing they are “Okay” to eat!

Instead of handing out candy, find some fun items such as pencils, crayons or activity books to hand out to trick-or-treaters!

Halloween can be a scary time for people who are trying to lose or maintain their weight.  With all of that leftover candy we bought for trick-or-treaters that didn’t show up, or the pillow case full of candy our kids stash in their bedrooms, it’s really hard for many people to monitor just how many calories they are “sneaking” when nobody is looking.  We think,”Oh, these are only ‘small’ pieces of candy, so there’s no real harm in eating just a few.”  But these sweet little morsel monsters can cause you to pack on the pounds.  If you just can’t avoid them, then put a couple in a sandwich bag and set a daily limit.  Then, when they’re gone, they’re gone.  Just four miniature Snickers bars per day for one week can have you packing on a couple of pounds in no time.
